Lathem Releases New Proximity Badge Door Lock
Model LX100 provides an affordable access control solution for small business.

announced the launch of the LX100 Proximity Badge Door Lock. The
LX100 is an economical, easy-to-use and keyless proximity badge
door lock for interior access control, with a suggested retail
price of $225.
In today's economic climate, small business owners are looking for a cost-effective way to keep their facilities secure and control which employees have authorized access to rooms or areas of a building. The LX100 is an ideal solution. Benefits include door access control for up to 120 users with credit card size proximity badges or optional keychain fobs, simple user-installation on most existing interior doors, and stand-alone, battery-powered operation that doesn't require a computer or external device to program or operate. It eliminates locksmith costs and the hassles of re-keying, and badges can be assigned to additional locks for multi-door control.
Companies already using Lathem's popular PC50 proximity time clock system (sold nationwide in all Staples and Office Depot retail stores) can program their existing employee badges for the LX100.
Using radio frequency technology, the LX100 instantly identifies proximity badges and keychain fobs to grant employees access. With four AA alkaline batteries, it operates for one year, or 4,000 uses depending on the door's traffic. Additionally, it uses LED and audio tone alerts to signal whether a badge is authorized.
